(More customer reviews)I purchased this item with a little sceptisism after reading a lot of reviews of other brand stations having issues with signal loss through walls to base station etc.I turned on the unit followed instructions.The wind gauge is about 30 feet up 20 feet from house the uv sensor is mounted 10 feet up as well as rain gauge.All sensors Detect and transmit flawlessly.I really like the product and I am impressed with the quality.All the outside sensors have o ring seals and have a tight fit to prevent moisture.I installed energizer lithium batteries for maximum temp range as specified in manual.Instruction manual states the outside sensors last apprx 2 years on one set of good batteries not bad.

(More customer reviews)I mounted the remote rain sensor less than 25 feet from the main uniit and the remote temperature sensor less than 50 feet away in a visible straight-line run. (The temperature sensor was visible through a window, main unit resting on window sill.) Brand new alkaline batteries. Unit failed to maintain communication to both sensors. It works when everything is together on the bench; when you set it up it fails miserably. I'm returning it and will try the Oregon Scientific model instead.

The Honeywell TC150 Alarm Clock and Wireless Rain Gauge can monitor rain fall up to 100 feet away. With a back-lit display for easy night time viewing, the clock offers precise quartz time, a dual crescendo alarm with snooze, and programmable time zones. The clock also features a rainfall display, programmable rain alarm, and offers up to seven days of rain collection history. It also has three-channel remote sensor capabilities and comes with one wireless sensor. The station can auto-scan all three remote channels. (Additional sensors for remote monitoring are sold separately.) When the remote sensor is powered by two AA alkaline batteries, the unit has an outside temperature range of minus 4 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit, and minus 38 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit if lithium batteries are used. For humidity monitoring, the clock has an indoor and outdoor range of 25 to 90 percent. (The two AA batteries required for the sensor, and the two AA batteries required for the main unit, are not included.)

(More customer reviews)I did a reception comparison some time back, and the A6 came out way ahead of the other scanners. Although the A6 is technically not a scanner, I am currently using it as a scanner. However, as the other commenter pointed out, the keyboard is somewhat cryptic and not so obvious how to use it. I didn't find the manual all that bad, but I can see how it can be difficult to follow. For product quality I would give this a 5 star, but for user friendliness may be 3 stars. Icom IC-A24 Handheld Nav/Comm Review

(More customer reviews)The Icom IC-24 is an excellent handheld unit to communicate either G/G or A/G. The additional VOR functions are also great and provide a pilot or ground operator azimuth and ID of the dialed in VOR. My use (installation of VOR systems) had one drawback in that I was located too close (in the building) to the VOR for good communications to occur due to de-sense of the receiver front end. This was corrected by use of a high pass filter in the antenna line. For most users this would not be a problem.
