(More customer reviews)I purchased the Crosley LP-to-CD from Brookstone and after I got it home I was astonished to discover how cheap a product costing several hundred dollars could be. The turntable is awful. If you bought a turntable for $25 you would expect it to be better than this. The tone arm is not properly balanced and worst of all the speed is not consistent and is not adjustbale. This product is virtually worthless for converting LP's to CD's if you have any senstivity to sound quality. Stay away from this!

(More customer reviews)i was looking for a cd recorder that would record my records and my cassette tapes. i found both. i didn't want to have to plug it into my computer and this one i didn't. i found exactly what i wanted and if you are looking for something easy to operate this is it. i looked for several weeks and looked at some of things people were saying about this one and it sounded like what i wanted. i have done somewhere around 40 cds so far and am recording one tonight. i can stop song anywhere i like and as soon as it clears i touch another button to start recording where i want or you can just put a tape or record on and record all the way thru or put them on tracks but it is a little slower putting them on tracks. all you have to do is plug this into your a/c outlet and you are ready to go. i have had no problems and i have had it for several weeks now. i am satisfied. i can even take tapes of our kids that i recorded almost 28 years ago and put them on cds as well. i would highly recommend this item.

TEAC LP-U200 Turntable USB Recorder and CD/Radio Review

(More customer reviews)This is the same unit as the Teac LP-R400 but instead or recording directly to CD it records to USB or SD card. I find this to be much more useful than recording to CD because now I can record for hours at the time and bring it with me to the Gym or listen at work. It can record to MP3 at 96, 128 or 160 Bits but not to WMA as stated above. No big loss as I do not like WMA format but Amazon should correct their description of this unit. The sound is better than I had expected and perhaps the best sounding unit in this category. Recording is very easy but automatic tract split does not work all that well so you are better off doing it yourself manually. Overall a very nice product.

(More customer reviews)At first, I though this product was what I wanted. But then I realized that the speakers are terrible and the outputs on the back aren't common for speaker outputs. THEN the turntable started sounding weird, the cd drive wouldn't open, and finally the system wouldn't turn on to function at all. So its been a complete waste of money. The return window is way too short and Crosley is not the easiest to deal with - their warranty covers a year and you have to pay for all the shipping to send it to them for repairs.

TEAC GF450K7 Turntable Cassette CD Recorder and Radio (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this unit after checking out many others- my only real objection is that it's black (that's why I didn't give it 5 stars), I would have preferred a wood grain, but aside from that the only problem I found was it's inability to sense the spaces between the tracks all the time. The sensor works about 80% of the time depending on the condition of the original, but of course you can easily do it manually. I was using it successfully about 5 minutes out of the box- one important thing- it needs "music" CD's not "computer" CD's. Not that easy to find and the retail store clerks didn't know there were two types of CD's. Finally I found them at Radio Shack. All in all it's a great unit and I recommend it highly.
