(More customer reviews)I have purchased this item to mount on a 2006 Mini Cooper Convertible.
On the plus side:
Everything works great with a "Boost" radio, I can control the iPod (Mini, Nano or standard iPod) from my steering wheel controls (previous - next - volume up - volume down) with my radio (6 playlists selection - previous - next - forward - backward) as well as displays the ID3 Tags on the radio (song title - artist) - feature the factory BMW iPod adapter doesn't offer (to date).
On the minus side:
The Ice Link Plus Item model number is I20-BMW-T, Where the "T" stands for TRUNK!!! This specific model is for trunk mounting and will adapt to the cable plugged into your CD-Changer (iPod will replace your CD changer). Mounting it on your dashboard will require a little bit of knowledge to know how to connect it or getting the Ice Link Plus model number I20-BMW (doesn't seem to be available here).
The second detail is that you have to configure the Ice Link Plus in order to have the ID3 titles displayed on you radio (text was turned off when I installed it).
While not being too difficult to do (settings are set by pressing the "6" button on your radio and configured directly on your iPod) it is a feature not mentionned in the Ice Link documentation! In fact, documentation both on the Dension website and the product box is very scarce and support was not available from Ice Link (emails never answered)
Conclusion:
This adapter displays the titles of your songs on your radio while the more expensive factory BMW adapter will not. It has a dock preventing your iPod from "flying" from side to side at every curve and will allow you to mount it wherever you'll feel appropriate: glove box, armrest, side of the radio, ... (the BMW adapter solution has the iPod connector mounted in your glove box only).
Last but not least: Should you change your car, the Ice Link should work with your next car if you get the appropriate connector cable from Dension.
I am very happy and so is my Mini :-)

Chatter Box XBi2 Wireless Intercom - Full-Face Kit Review

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased a Chatter Box XBi2 Wireless Intercome with the full-face kit. I installed it into a full-face Scorpion helmet. The documentation provided with the Chatter Box XBi2 did very little in assisting me with the installation. By the way, the documentation with the Scorpion helmet did even less. If anyone purchasing the Chatter Box XBi2 feel they need instructions or doucmentation to help them figure out the appropriate way to operate and install the device, they will be greatly disappointed. If you can manage to get the Chatter Box installed and operating, it works just fine. Don't buy this item unless you are going to have it professionally installed or your mechanical/electronical skills are way above average.

(More customer reviews)only reason i gave 3 stars was because the phone feels cheap.The phone is exactly the way it was described, but coming from Nokia and at that price i expected something more "solid". Though, the phone does work and does all it says it can do. the cheap platic feeel is what i dont like. About the phone being"unbreakable" i doubt it. The sim card cover almost broke when i was trying to open it. If you dont mind the cheap feel, go for it. It works.

I am adding this review after using the phone for about 5 months.
1. The battery is a washout. I have had to replace the battery since the one that came with the phone stopped working about month ago.
2. The screen goes off by itself even with a fully charged battery.
3. Some of the buttons choose when they want to work and when they do not choose to, they do not work
Conclusion: This phone is an imitation of Nokia. I cannot believe Nokia will allow such poor workmanship in their phones. i have two other Nokia phones which i have been using for years without problems. My candid advice: Avoid this phone!

(More customer reviews)I have now purchased 3 of these adapters....After searching for a bluetooth solution for all of my GM vehicles I came accross this product in a GM forum and I have to say it is hands down the best aftermarket buy I've seen for bluetooth. Currently I have one installed in a 2008 Sierra without Nav, 2007 GMC Yukon XL with Nav, and a 2007 Cadillac Escalade with Nav. All of these never offered bluetooth from the factory, only Onstar and I really wanted handsfree operation with a "factory" feel and this product gives it. Installation is litterally a 5 minute plug and play, the video on their website shows you how to do it in 5 minutes. I've paired my iPhone, Blackberry Bold, Bold 2, and Curve and all work great and the A2DP streaming audio is terrific. There are adjustments in the system menu that allow for volume adjustments of phone calls and streaming audio so that once you switch back to a normal source you don't blow out your ears. The only issue I've seen is the AVRCP with the iPhone, in the Sierra when I press the play/pause button on the sterring wheel controls it only mutes the music which is the factory preset function, it won't pause the iPhone. Overall great product.

(More customer reviews)This unit does not work with a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, Standard radio and manual air conditioning dash purchased in California, USA. The factory units cable harness is not compatible with the harnesses provided. So it is not plug and play. As such never got to try the performance of the unit. Have not contacted the distributer, Koolertron about cable harnesses that will fit this model and year, if they even have one. Unit looks good because you would think it is a factory unit but if you don't want to do a lot of wire splicing this is not the one.:(

NUTONE IMA4406WH Whole House Intercom System with Am/fm and CD Player Review

(More customer reviews)We have one of these units in our house. We have numerous complaints.
First is the durability. The unit has been sent out for repairs once, but still doesn't work very well. The intercoms sometimes work in the house. The door intercom seldom works. None of them work when you want them to. The door chime worked until about 4 months ago. The radio stopped working about 5 months ago. Now the unit is clicking constantly as it turns on and off the intercom feature. Sometimes, it just turns on the outdoor intercom (a surprise because pressing the door talk button does nothing) and we can hear traffic in the street. We are not sure what to do with this unit. If it wasn't built into our house, it would be in the trash can. This unit is REALLY expensive to buy up front and REALLY expensive to fix.
Second is the features. This unit is an intercom first and a sound system second. We have a stereo from 1990 with more features than this sound system. To connect our IPod to the unit, we could have purchased the $200 iPod dock, or we ran a cable through the wall to the Aux connection. Pretty low tech. The radio and the CD are very ho humm. There is an alarm, but it doesn't let you choose any wake up sound except the radio. I think that technology was solved in the 1980s. If you're looking for an in house sound system, I recommend looking else where.
We are trying to figure out what to do with this unit. If we can find a replacement from a different manufacturer, we may go that route. Or, we may pull it out of the wall and give up on an intercom in the house.

The EQ is just amazing in it because it has more presets then my other dual came with, but my only problem with it is that the screen is a little to bright for night driving... And with the screen down it is a little to bright, but other then that it is the best bang for the buck i have seen for a while now concidering the fact that i saved over HALF the money i would have spent in the store...
So if you are looking for a radio that looks good and performs i would buy this one, and if you are going to install this yourself dont be intimidated by all of the wires that it has i installed this by myself in my driveway in about 2.5-3hrs or so due to the fact that the sun going down and needing stuff from the house... So altogether it was a pretty simple install just about anybody with a basic understanding of wireing can do... That or do it like i did and connect the wires one by one so that you don't get them crossed...

(More customer reviews)I'm using this phone for almost 6 months now, and I absolutely adore it. It's sleek, fast and packs more features and functionality than a swiss-army knife; 8MP Camera, 720P video recording (world's first ever), AMOLED 3.7 capacitive screen and 16GB of internal memory.
The hardware powering this phone is nothing short of phenomenal...it plays 720P HD content like butter, and the touch response rivals the iPhone 3GS. In fact, I even ran Quake III on this phone...yes, I'm referring to the 3D PC FPS game released by id Software back in 1999 (You need a full version of the game, a few apps and some research to do this)!
So you might ask, why does it get a 4 instead of a 5 from me? Unfortunately, as much as I love this phone I cannot ignore the shoddy support from Samsung. Firmware updates for this phone are not even released for most regions yet(the launch firmware is seriously outdated, lacks many features and bugfixes), and Samsung has done little to address buyers concerns thus far. I even went as far as to flash a different region firmware onto my phone, just to get the new fixes/features.
A big update is currently in the works, to be released by Feb 2010, aimed at addressing the complaints of disgruntled fans...but it is a bit too late now/people have already moved on to other, newer phones.
If only this phone had better support, it would have been a true winner; it's truly a pity that Samsung failed to realize the potential of this wonder device.

Onkyo CSV720S Executive Shelf System with Universal DVD Review

Besides being able to play anything well (CD, SACD, DVD), the amplifier section generates a clean, cool 23W into 4 ohms, enough to drive the included speakers to very high levels, the baby speakers are fantastically good, the microfibre woofer-midrange really works. Give the speakers 100 hours or more to break in, because they are light, you may want to weight them down. I listen only to classical music and I switched to these speakers from Epos 11's, for those who know, I cannot say more about the quality. Just listened to Water Lily Acoustics' SACD of Shostakovich 7 from St Petersburg. All I can say is "wow". But Boulez and Cleveland doing Debussy from 1992 on good old PCM sounds almost as good. Who would have thought Onkyo could produce such a great miniature.

Yamaha RX-397 100 Watt Natural Sound AM/FM Stereo Receiver Review

(More customer reviews)Despite the current fad for multi-channel audio/video receivers, the majority of people still listen to music with two speakers and only need a two-channel stereo receiver to drive them. As fanatic audiophiles with excellent stereo speakers, my wife and I recently purchased this receiver because of very good previous experience with Yamaha electronics products. This is a superb receiver in all respects. Some people may think that they need more than this receiver's rated power of 50 watts per channel, but Yamaha's power ratings are extremely conservative and this receiver will drive virtually any speakers to deafening levels (which I don't recommend doing). More important than it's ample power is its very low distortion. Yamaha specializes in low distortion products for very clean sound. In addition to robust power and ultra-low distortion the RX-397 has a full complement of controls, plus an easy to use remote. But as a fanatic audiophile another feature, typical of Yamaha, which I particularly appreciate is a button which sends the signal from our CD player (or any other non-phono cartridge input) directly to the amplifier -- bypassing the preamp circuitry, which is not needed except when playing LPs (which most people rarely do these days) -- for the lowest distortion and best signal to noise ratio. There are plenty of slighty less expensive -- and less good -- stereo receivers available, but if you want suberb performance at a moderate price I highly recommend this Yamaha.

(More customer reviews)Although there are four separate components and plenty of dials, toggles, and buttons, this is not the set for tinkerers who demand control of the sound. There's a button that gives you enhanced bass and a dial that supplies fine tuning of the tweeter, and that's it! Not even the ability to balance the speakers. The flip side of course is simplicity, and simplicity is the name of the game from assembly to operation of these handsome components and speakers. Just link everything together, plug it in, and enjoy impressive sound. Impressive, that is, for everyone but those who want to rattle the walls with amplified rock and loud orchestral compositions. They should look elsewhere. But for those who, like my wife and I, live in snug apartments and whose tastes run to small-group jazz and classical chamber music with emphasis on solo piano, violin, guitar, sax, and trumpet, Technics has put together a terrific audio system. Just squeeze it in wherever there's room and let it fill your space with warm, balanced sound.

Sony D-FS18 Portable CD Player Review

I had previously tried a panasonic cd player which skipped while I was walking on the treadmill at a fast pace and stopped entirely when I started running. The Sony Sport is unstoppable!!! I can run, jump up and down, swing it around, and it keeps on going! Nothing interrups the play, the quality is amazing. Also, the sound is incredible! I had the best workout, I love this Sony Sport!!!!
